Dr. Parker has over 14 years of experience in wound care
and limb salvage procedures. The majority of wound patients
are diabetic or have impaired circulation. Effective wound
care begins with a thorough assesment of the health of the
entire patient. Issues such as control of blood sugar, nutritional
status and circulation are major factors that govern the wound
healing process. Dr. Parker believes in a team approach to
the wound care patient. That means working with the area's
top vascular surgeons, internists and diabetic specialists
to ensure that an optimum environment for wound healing exists.
Wound healing science goes far beyond applying the latest
wound care products. At Conway Podiatry's Wound Care Center,
patients are treated as more than just wounds. This means
coordinating care with other specialists and providing services
such as custom shoes and supports.
Wound care services are available on both an out-patient and
